Kaitlyn’s 1 Year Portraits

Posted on Saturday 13 September 2008

Sorry this took so long but I’ve been so busy and edits take a long time. I am wondering if I should take her to a real portrait photographer as soon as possible…being that I personally am thinking these two batches stunk. She’s so hard to take pictures of right now because she is CONSTANTLY moving!! Her party was fantastic, however, and we have a little walker with 4 teeth. Her hair is getting longer and tends to look redder in her pictures, but I keep insisting that she is a strawberry blond.

Thanks to everyone who voted for me in Me Ra’s “fatherhood” photo contest. I didn’t win, but Brian and I were very blessed and encouraged by all the wonderful votes and comments about the photo. ♥

Now, for some Kaitlyn pictures!!

Thanks for enduring 16 large pictures of the cutest baby ever… I just can’t decide if I’m cut out for portrait photography. I’d like the chance to try it with some older kids or family groups. Kaitlyn is very squirmy and not a very obedient model. ;)

Oh, please don’t give up on portrait photography! You do such a great job. It’s just too hard to get your own toddler to listen to you. I’ve been practicing on other people’s toddlers and they tend to listen and do what I want better than my own. I think it’s because our own kids have learned to tune Mommy out. I know sometimes I tune them out when they are screaming and carrying on. I have to or I would start crying all the time too. :0) Keep taking those beautiful pic’s and at about 2 yrs your little beauty will discover that after mom asks her to pose then she can see herself on the back of the camera. That’s what my two year old has discovered. Now, when ever she’s in the mood, she’ll pose real pretty and 2 seconds later, says, I want to see.
